Colorado
Mountain Jams
contain one of the lowest, if not the lowest, amounts of calories and
carbohydrates of any jam sold. Probably the most telling difference
between our jams and others is that they have nutritional value.

The all natural and
organic ingredients that go into the jams are the same as those used by
our ancestors—fruit with very little added sweetener and sometimes
spices to enhance flavor.

At Colorado Mountain Fine
Jams & Jellies, our mission is to offer a diverse
gourmet line of jams and jellies that are as nutritious and healthy for
you as they are delicious and pleasurable to eat. Unlike most mass
production jam companies, we grow our own fruit. Our organic orchards
are located in Palisade, Colorado, which, with its hot dry days and
cool nights, produces some of the highest quality, best tasting fruit in
America.
The organic fruit goes directly from the field to the kitchen.
Our
Plum Daisy
Kitchen is
located right in the apric ot and plum orchard where strawberries grow
between the rows of fruit trees. That’s as fresh as fruit—and jams— can
get! What makes our
jams and jellies special or truly “gourmet"? It’s simple—it’s quality.
We make them the way
our grandparents and great grandparents made jam.
The fruit is picked at the peak of ripeness when it is beginning to fall
on its own from the trees. The all natural and organic ingredients that
go into the jams are the same as those used by our ancestors—fruit with
very little added sweetener and sometimes spices to enhance flavor.
From start to finished product, the highest quality standards are
m aintained. To capture the greatest possible concentration of flavor,
the jams are made in small batches. Thickened the old-fashioned way by slowly cooking down the fruit, the
jams are made without the use of artificial ingredients, colors, or
preservatives. This careful process results in jams that are beautiful
in appearance reflecting the natural fruit color, intensely flavorful,
incredibly rich tasting—brimming with whole fruit goodness!
Because we grow
much of the fruit ourselves, letting the sun ripen it on the trees to develop its full flavor
naturally, the jams
need minimal added sweetener. They
contain one of the lowest, if not the lowest, amounts of calories and
carbohydrates of any jam on the market. Probably the most telling
difference between our jams and others is that they have nutritional
value—vitamins A and C, Calcium, and Iron. Most commercially produced
jams do not list nutritional content on their labels.
Like the fresh
fruits we take to
farmers markets in the summer,
our jams bring
year-round joy to people. We know we’ve succeeded when people sample our
jam, smiles light their faces, and they exclaim, “I remember how my
grandmother made plum jam, and it tasted just like this.”
